Great idea, didn't think of that yet.
I recently installed BootMii on my Wii to, since Nintendo abandons it soon to focus on the Wii U.

Wow, if even your number one fan boy has such harsh criticism, you know you're doing something wrong as a company :D

Microsoft Hardware / Re: Hit Game Makes £52 In First Week On Windows RT
« Last Post by Refalm on 7 December 2012, 21:50 »
The two main mobile game engines, Unity and Unreal, don't support Windows RT.

Microsoft has an overall strategy to push gamers from Windows to Xbox 360. The games being offered in the Windows 8 store are casuals, no triple A games at all.

A lot of gamers keep Windows for the games. That's going to change soon. Two major publishers, EA and Valve, are going to support Linux and Mac OS X fully. There will be lots of people uninstalling Windows. It's a terrible gaming platform, there's so much bullshit running in the background, like updates, multimedia throttle, etc. that they need something like Game Booster that turns off all junk, so you don't lose in Call of Duty because Windows Video needs resources for no reason.

I'm glad the Xbox 360 exists.
All the immature idiots who play on that console would've gamed on a PC or PS3 instead.
I tried to play Halo Reach once at a friends' house. Big mistake. I have never heard so much racism, homophobia, sore losers, white trash, and spoiled kids in such a short timespan.

Microsoft Hardware / Re: Why Is the Surface So Bad?

He talks a lot about the performance, which I haven't seen yet in an article.
I wouldn't have expected a fluid experience from Microsoft on an ARM device. Seeing how they went to a lot of company resources to even build a simple OS for the Xbox 360 (PowerPC), it doesn't take much to figure out how much it would've costed to get Windows to work on an ARM tablet.

The biggest problem is only captured in one alinea. It only runs Office as desktop app. People will be naturally expecting that they can install VLC, Minecraft, AutoCAD, Steam, Football Manager, etc. on their Surface. I can't imagine people's anger when they find out otherwise. You can't even get Citrix Receiver or VMWare Player on the device, otherwise it would have made a (pretty expensive) thin client. That means it would have some relevance in the real world.
Right now, it's even a shittier tablet than those € 100 Chinese ones with an old Android version. At least you can install a few useful apps on there.

Those pics are funny.

Windows 95 was a good version of Windows (a good version of dog shit is still dog shit though). That one and Windows 7 were the only ones where Microsoft actually listened to consumers. It was also the last one where Gabe Newell was producer of Windows, hence the cool games on the installation disc, and the large focus on MS-DOS compatibility.
Sure it broke easily, but at least it wasn't a BSOD fest like Windows 98.
I still run Windows 95 as a virtual machine on my Android phone. Just because I can.
