Does this look "iffy" to anyone else?

Code: [Select]

I received this email today - why would they need a new password for authentication changes?  Surely even though the method has changed the pass remains the same, still held in /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow.  And if they are switching to shadowing then just cp /etc/passwd /etc/shadow...

Does anyone here want to cast some light on this?

I got the same message for both my illfuckinghostit accounts, so it must be legit. I'm glad I don't have to put up with those weird-ass ZikvoWiwacuRlblurGg passes anymore.

I emailed [email protected], he says that the dude in charge of the password switch fucked up...  for now use your old password, and they'll ask you again to change it soonish.
