What a wonderful article, I can't believe I actually read all of it! Although it probably did not all sink in.  :D

It seems the author is very pesimistic about Windows being stoppable.

I like this sentence:

Initial versions of Windows were very bad, but Microsoft kept promising that a better product would come out Real Soon Now, still as part of their joint OS/2 efforts with IBM.
