What I want to see in Leopard
« on: 17 June 2006, 14:04 »
As a result of boredom, I decided to make a concept of 10.5 showing the stuff I would like:

An Appearnce manager like OS 9 so that we all don't have to go paying for Shapeshifter or any of that other stuff. Widgets on the desktop and a better Spotlight. No pinstripes either (so Jaguar). I'd like to see a better Finder too. :macos:
I was interested on what everyone else wants to see.

I'm not a mac user, but I'd like to see total disanbandament of the brushed metal theme in favor of Aqua with brushed metal style controls.
Operating System Advocacy. I've given up on the Microsuck project, as well as any of the minisite spinoffs. You can still view the new beta site, though!

I for one love the pinstripes :-)

I'd like to see brushed metal stay too. It compliments Aqua nicely.

A visual sytles manager would be pretty cool, but if they were to package one with Leopard, I'm still sticking with Aqua :P

Where is the dock on that? :-(

I use Candybar (for changing icons) and TinkerTool (for everything else) a lot, and those are the sorts of things that the OS ought to be able to handle.  Having a set of super-advanced controls in the System Prefs would be nice.
