I agree with Mastertech here, there is no reason why your posts should've been moroned.

By the way what's your reputation?

I don't think we've ever had someone with two red squares before!

Well done, you've made a new MES record!

And it isn't your oppinions either, we've had Windows lovers with positive repuations before.
This is not a Windows help forum, however please do feel free to sign up and agree or disagree with our views on Microsoft.

Oh and FUCKMicrosoft! :fu:

EDIT: After reading this thread, I don't really see any problem with it, but I'm not allowed to merge threads...

Wait I have 3 red squares? Oh thats cute. I see how it works here everyone can insult and personally attack me but if I say anything some genius moderator just starts adding warnings on? Everyone can see how completely ridiculous this whole situation is.

I am going to repeat every personal attack someone says to me and see how fast the warnings add up.

That's a Myth, stop spreading misinformation.

Any user can give either positive or negative rep another user. You get enough positive reps you get a green square, enough negative reps you get a red square.

It has nothing to do with the moderators.

If you wanna rep someone, there's a button on the bottom left of their posts. Please rep me negative - I can't wait to see how little rep points it takes away (I've noticed that people with more rep points have a huger effect when repping), hell maybe it'll give me some points!

Also whenever you hilight somebody's rep-squares a tooltip comes up - for you it says "Mastertech is a Microsoft spy!", that's why I said that.

Whatever, but tell me seriously that you don't believe the conspiracy theory bullshit? Because if you do then you are an idiot.
go and fuck yourself.

and interesting that you and good old mastertech have exactly the same response to my posts.

Quote
The article talks about hidden files which may be true, but it's worded like MS have hidden them in a bid to keep track of people when the truth is it's they are not displayed because they are part of the cache indexing system and the reason why they aren't deleted is due to poor programming. Fair enough when it was origionally written it may've looked that way but it's been proved otherwise, so it's now outdated and obsolete.
again, all you are doing is agreeing with me, so calling me an idiot was totally out of line, and i feel justified in my above response as a result.

Quote
By the way, wouldn't it have been more sensible to contact MS about this article before posting it?
i didn't post it.

Quote
If they didn't respond or lied about it then we would've had a case but if they'd given an explanation then it shouldn't have been posted in the first place.
what you mean we, white man?

seriously though, i didn't make any comments about the motivations etc, so all you pillocks with too much personal insecurity can get your knickers in a twist as much as you like, all i said was that the hidden files were in windows 98 and ME exactly where i couldn't see them with hidden files turned off, just like the article says, way back when the article was new. so what if it was written by a slightly foaming at the mouth fanatic? those were different days. some of you were still in primary school no doubt!

and to be honest i think you need to write to the webmaster of this site if you want to have influence over the site content, not just bad mouth me because i happen to respond to your post in a way you don't like.
