Microsoft Sending Info Without consent

I have heard that in Microsoft Advanced Server and XP editions that there is a secret file that transmitts your identiy too microsoft through an open port that you are not aware of?

win XP sends information to and from microsoft as much as it possibly can.
Put Zone Alarm on winXP and watch, as you get lots of messages saying that windows wants to contact its  "daddy".
