Ok to get rid of that XP, firstly restart into MS-dos mode. (don't use a start up disk just get into dos) now onbce your at the prompt, type "Format C:" (don't put a slas after the : ) ok now hit yes, and it will format. Once your done you can restart your computer, put in the win98se bootdisk, and when the menu comes up, choose "start computer with CD-ROM support" now once the cd drivers are loaded, stick in the win98se cd and begin the setup. and that should do it.

then, get into dos w/ a start up disk. When it says A:\ type "fdisk.exe". Now it will bring u to some crap. If your file system(s) is(are) NTFS it has to go. NTFS is different from 32-bit. now delete the partition(s) if it(they) is(are) NTFS. Once thats done. Restart the computer, go into the prompt again w/ the disk. now type Fdisk.exe again, and now this time instead of deleting a partition, make one, and then set it active. Once thts done, restart yur system. Now start the computer w/ cd rom support and begin the install form win98se.
Now i'm pretty sure thats how u do it, but don't take my word for it. I might have forgotten something. If this fails and your computer can't do anything, then learn how to fix it or get a new hd. I'm pretty sure what I have said is right, but don't take my word for it. Check with a computer expert other than me (which I am not the best one).
