ecsyle:

Have you ever wondered why EA started producing so many James Bond Games?    :D    Yeah, MS got the Perfect Dark franchise (unfortunately) , but they don't have the people to back it up.

Systems I've owned:
Game Boy
NES
SNES (unfortunately no Satellaview, I don't live in japan)
Virtual Boy (would have rocked if supported more)
N64 (thought I forgot something)
Game Boy Advance
Gamecube
PS
PS2
Xbox

And last time I checked, the newer James Bond games still have the old maps from goldeneye. That's gonna be the shit if they make it net playable on either GC or PS2.

Emulation. Very practical, low-cost and available on most platforms.
SNES and NES. Because it's all I ever had. Plus, I find old games much more fun than all the rubbish out there (personal opinion).

And last:

Windows. Because that's all it's good for.   ;)

Dude, you can emulate SNES in Linux... and probably NES too, although I haven't tried that yet.

Yes, you can emulate NES in Linux. Tuxnes, fceu, fwnes, ines, darcnes and others. And I do use ZSNES in Linux. Too bad it's limited to the x86 architecture...

As for the Playstation, I would like to try it, but I haven't got any games or roms for it.

Edit: By the way, I meant to say that a Wintel was worth little more than a game comsole.

Hmm, favorite console of all time?  Probably the Sega Master System.

I just sold my PSX and Dreamcast and bought a Gamecube.  The only reason I purchased it is because Soul Calibur II should be dropping soon, and the GC version looks nicer than all others (plus the GC is only $149).  The GC version of Mario Kart should be decent too.

All and all, I give Nintendo props for actually implementing a copy protection scheme that nobody's cracked yet.  Not saying I don't warez things to all hell, but still, at least they came up with something no one broke . . .

Xbox is evil.  I don't see why any self-righteous individual would purchase one knowing they're looking to monopolize yet another industry.  The "we only run Linux" on it excuses are getting weak, too.

I always wanted to check out an Atari Jaguar; that might be next on my Ebay list.  Maybe I'll do that after I get an Afterburner kit for my GBA.

" Also, i greatly prefer my comp to GCN because i can get better graphics, and better (and more) game titles."

Why do you even play video games?

Comments like that lead me to believe you'd be happy sitting comatose in front of your computer monitor watching a tech demo.

I own all current gen. consoles:  PS2, Gamecube, Xbox , Dreamcast and GBA SP.  They all have their strengths and weakneses.

As far as console of choice? I couldn't say really this month I'm playing the Gamecube like crazy with games like Ikaruga, Def Jam Vendetta and Resident Evil Zero.  Last month I was playing Shenmue 2 on xbox non-stop.

i've played many consoles, but the one i've liked most would probably be the dreamcast.

i'm not a fan of pc/mac/linux gaming. it's too annoying, plus 98% of the titles are mediocre, imo.
