Hack the Xbox without a mod chip
« on: 4 July 2003, 21:16 »
Remember when those hackers threatened to release a way to mod the Xbox without a chip? Guess what they just released. It was in an article here. Oh yeah, happy fourth of July. I just noticed, this should be in "microsoft in the news" section, sorry.

wh00t bliatch m$ we commin for u bitch

lol

This is very good. However it wont allow someone to burn a CD and pop it in with Linux. However we could use this exploit to look for other exploits, hopefully one that involves the boot process...

If only we had M$'s private key...

Let's take this step by step:

1. This is a section about Microsoft Hardware.
2. The XBox is hardware.
3. The XBox is made by Microsoft.
4. The XBox therefore is Microsoft Hardware.
5. Another section is about Microsoft in the news.

Conclusion: you had the choice of putting this into the News or Hardware section, and you choose this one.

I think he was refering to the article about it, but yeah... it belongs here.

When the xbox first came out... there was a bunch of articles. Would the first post about microsoft's xbox being released be in the news or in the hardware section? I think it'd be here... as would this thread.

Actually, this started in the "microsoft OS" section by accident, but I think a mod moved it here. I just didn't take the time to edit that part out after it was moved.
