not reliable at all. i have been in one, it is a terrible design.
i just resoldered the connections and laid it on thick
then i epoxied the wire in the hole
i would imagine that it would void the warrenty
oh and also the bendin the cable where it exits the mouse body is a weak point for the interior wires. i split it open up to there and taped up a couple holes in the insulation. give it slack and you should be ok.
your wireless mouse is either low on batteries, is experiencing interference, or is defective. what manufacturer? the logitech on the other pc has a range of over 50 ft through walls. it has never disconnected. consider untangling your cabling, em fields crossing will do that to any wireless thingamabob.
the best mouse i have ever used and am using now is a fellowes gel mouse. old shit. easy to clean.
and the old reliable compaq mouse is ready should this one crap.
edit:
the simpler the mouse, the more reliable it will be. consider an off brand.
