Slate bitchslaps XBox

Slate (which is owned by M$) dissed the XBox, and gave some interesting numbers and opinions.

Too seldom mentioned, however, is Microsoft's failure to understand a basic tenet of the console world: Cool matters, and Xbox isn't cool.

It's always cool to see a company owned by Microsoft turning against them. And they're absolutely right. One detail was wrong, the rapper Redman is using a Xbox, I saw it on TV... the rest all use PS2. I know all the celebrity's does, I saw Tom Green playing GTA 3 on the PS2 a week ago (he odly calls his PS2 "the GTA").

XBox will never be cool... the box itself looks like a big plastic black box with green logo's. I think they've tried to make it look as cool as the PS2, but the thing is that they've failed badly.
Microsoft chose the wrong colours for there console, and the wrong size of controllers.

Indeed. My nephew, who doesn't know a penny about computers or anything, simply hates the Xbox because it's so big and it's controllers are so hard to hold ...  
So now he owns a PS2 !!

Now I honestly don't see the problem here. Two old man calling each other "homey?" that would get a laugh from me. This one X-box commerical with these young dudes leaping from building to building painting a gigantic game of tic tac toe(I think that was what it was)? Cool. The X-box marketing campaign is FINE with me. Of course no one ever said I was "mass market" cool.  

Those rappers need to start mentioning Linux.

But underground rap is nice.

It isn't filled with all of those people who want make money.
