help with linux
I think the best way would just be to get a real modem, but anyway:
insmod [modulename]
  will load a driver
rmmod [modulename]
  will unload a driver
lsmod
  will list all drivers loaded
modprobe [modulename]
will load a driver if it isnt already.

You can also put a module in /etc/modules to load it at boot.

PS: Woo!  I think I passed my politics exam... now I never have to do stupid arse politics courses ever again!  yay!  :D
Yesterday it worked
Today it is not working
Windows is like that

You're right, the best way would be to get a real modem, but that option requires money, something I am lacking right now. Once i save up a little, I'll invest in a modem and a sound card. But in the meantime, this will have to do. Thanks for the help, I'm about to restart in linux, I'll see how it goes.
