I can use Linux now!
« on: 10 January 2005, 05:50 »
I've had to use Windows since I got my current computer last March, the reason being that my Linksys wireless card refused to work.  However, the linux-wlan-ng guys added support for my exact card a few months back, and I just found out today.  I rebooted, and had the new version (0.2.1-pre23) working in about 10 minutes, a few kinks along the way.

I'm freeeeee!  :D   Although, I don't know if I'll be sticking with my curent Slackware 10.0 - I've come to love Ubuntu and Gnome 2.8 a lot via VMWare.  We'll have to see.  That said, how well does adding Linuxpackages.net mirrors to Swaret work? (for contributed packages)

Slackware is kinda KDE and XFCE orientated, so you may have a problem there   :D

I'm using XFce, always have.  Gnome 2.6 is installed, but I use it's apps, not the environment itself.
