Is there anyway if I get my Presario 1070 to run Fedora is there anyway to get it to use my cable modem? It only has a phone line in and it doesn't have any USB ports.

What kind of connection does the cable modem use?

It can use 10/100 or USB...

Also, I made a boot disk following the instructions found here. When I put in the floppy and I start it all I get is the message... Boot failed.

the cable modem shouldnt give u any problems if connected through the ethernet port.  it will configure itself.

and the bootdisk is for installation.. and if u didnt, you should've made a bootdisk during installtion that lets you boot to rh incase the lootloader goed haywire.

"IF" is the big thing there... ;) I am still trying to get it to run on the laptop...

and I just wanted to know what I should buy, because it doesn't have an ethernet or a usb port...

If it has no USB then you're best off getting an ethernet card for it.

As long as you have a PCI slot and can get an ethernet card in there, it shouldn't matter.

Could be a problem with the drivers on the disk.  Have you tried booting from the CD?

Yes, I have tried booting from the CD... if I could find the Win95 boot disk shouldn't that work? It worked when I was installing Win95 on the laptop a long time ago...

Try booting the cd in dos.
