How many discs does OS X comes with?

Comes with 3 CDs

Are iTunes, iDVD all included in the OS X or do we have to purchase them seperately.

OS X may have also been to LARGE to place in one CD, I dont think it was just their choice alone.

Only the first disk is really necessary. If you don't want the additional apps package, you can just quit the installer after the first disk is done and Jag will be installed.

Apple is not going to ship any new mas with OS9 anymore?

Will idvd be included, my friend that bought a powermac with just the combo drive it came with idvd.  But that was the older [sdram] model and was before jag, so im not 100% sure.  What does all macs wont boot from os 9 mean, well it means after january if you buy a mac it will only boot from os 10, you will NOT be able to install os 9 at all.  I think if you buy a new computer from apple now it will still come with os 9 but not for much longer.

Does it mean that you are going to change the hardware or anything like that?

I dun understand how you cant install an OS 9 anymore if nothing's going to change  :rolleyes:

No, they aren't changing the hardware. They figured out some way to prevent people from booting to 9.

I don't know about not being able to install 9...I think if you went all-OS9 it would work.

The "Classic Environment" will still work.

Jag includes all iApps except for iDVD, iCal, and iSync.

If you have a a DVD burning Mac, the only way to get iDVD back onto your drive (If u did a clean install of Jag) is to take all of your Software Restore discs, copy them to your Hard Drive, then double click on the first one.  It should Open Disc Copy and a "Macintosh HD" will appear on your desktop.  You then go into the Applications folder in the "Macintosh HD" and copy iDVD to the Applications folder on your Jag HD.
