Good:

  • Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids (Pre-Brown Hornet days)
  • StarBlazers
  • RoboTech
  • X-Men

BAD:
  • Gilligan's Planet
  • Yogi's Space Race
  • Generic Doll Selling Cartoon (Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, Jem)

I don't think DragonBall is that great, actually.  It's too predictable.

O'Brien, I'm kinda hoping that you think DragonBallZ and its ilk are representative of DragonBall as a whole.  DBZ and DBGT are perhaps THE most crap-tacular anime I've ever seen in my life, and an insult to the original DB series by Toriyamasan.  He himself has stated numerous times that neither of the successors was ever supposed to exist (look at the lineage of the manga for proof; there's DB more than a decade ago, then nothing, then DBZ around 2000 or so).  God forbid anything GOOD should ever end.  I just hope BONES doesn't run Cowboy Bebop into the ground with the side-story spinoff they're going to start in a year or so.

And I was about to say that I think DB was good, but DBZ wasn't.  Heh...

DBZ removed all the humor that I liked and added battles that lasted two weeks or more.  It really pissed me off when they did that.

Also, I got to watch most of the DB series when Cartoon Network played them all, but they seemed to stop right before the end and restart from the beginning, at a climax. Wtf?
