Hmmm, I get it. I have a question however, addressed not only to xeen but to any moderator.
When I used to moderate the Linux/Unix forums, and whenever I happened to see an inflammatory topic or responses to a topic, I would just edit it a little bit, or if it led nowhere I would simply lock it.
So, why not do so yourselves? Do not delete a thread, just edit the offensive posts. Bin a thread only when it concerns a double posted one, a spam message, or after having been requested by the writer of the original topic. Also, as I wrote you may very well lock the damn thing and upon request unlock it.
So, what is the big deal anyway?
