whacking off would make me tired. I have ad only Iced tea and water all day. I havent had any coffee or anything with extreme amounts of sugar because it is not good for athletes of my stature to be eating/drinking. I am eating a orange right now. Caffiene is badd for athletes too.

The longest i have stayed awak currently is 40 hours (or 38).

I will probably be secluded into my bedroom for several hours so i also have: water, salsa, cracker, WD-40, a plastic bag, a straw, a stolen spoon.

one can stay awake for about a week.  expect to lose weight.  remember to eat.  you may hallucinate.  all you really have to do is stay busy.

When i was in highschool i wondered how long i can stay awake. I managed to stay awake for 5 days. I kid you not.

On the start of the 5th day though, i started to have delusions. I was hearing noises suchs as: The door bell, and i would go and open the door.
I was hearing my friend's voice even though he lived at another town.
All kinds of shit and i was just shuting down. To stay awake iwent to the basketball field and played for 30 min and then my body just gave up.

It took me little less than an hour to go home, 10 blocks away.

I slept for 12 hours straight. I woke up had some food and then went back to bed again.

By the way, you must be feeling very WIRED yet extrmly tired right now huh.

i have myself stayed awake for several days in a row a few times however i was always heavily under the influence of some drugs (of many kinds, sometimes even alcohol!) so i cannot make any claims about how long or possibly short those sojourns are.

I like sleep anyway, i just never have enough time to fit it all in!

I've gone 72+ hours without sleep before. After around 48 you start to really wig out. I mean hallucinations and the like. It's kind of cool, yet very disturbing at the same time. Keep up the caffeine but only if you can consistantly. It's hard to last during those downers that follow a large cup o' joe.

a tad off topic but im a forum guru, the UBB does have polls but this version unfortunantly (AHH SPELLING) hasn't implemented (AHH SPELLING?) yet.

the more caffeine you consume, the likelier you are to get arthritis at an early age.

hmmm ... never knew spelt was correct english, allways thought it was spelled, but according to KDict it's both correct

anyway, I think my longest sleepless stretch lasted about 4 or 5 days .... I was heavily under the influence of not so legal substances though (which was a while ago ... the only mind expanding substance I use is everyone's favourite herb (which makes you fall asleep i.o. staying awake   ))
