I am pissed off. (warning: biased Yahoo business link)Seriously. I'm getting tired of this "innovation" BS. Every time something works well enough, somebody always comes around and fscks it up. For example, VeriSign.
quote:
"VeriSign will argue vigorously for innovation because it not only improves the Internet user experience but has implications for the vitality of the DNS system and economic competitiveness and job growth." -Russell Lewis, Exec VP Naming & Directory Services Grp
Russell must be an idiot. It doesn't improve the Internet user experience. The DNS system doesn't need anymore "vitality", especially not the kind he apparently wants to give it. The DNS system isn't meant to create jobs, and it's not meant to be a competitive system. It's meant to connect people to websites; if you type in the wrong one, BAM! 404. Nice and simple. That's when you break out google and search.
If "innovation" now means taking something that works well and fucking it up all to hell,
then fuck innovation and FUCK VERISIGN! FUCK THE FUCKING FUCKERS!!Before I end this rant, I wanted you guys to see this.
Through Thursday, Oct. 2, Site Finder has been used more than 40 million times by Internet users to get where they want to go online. What utter BS. It was not used willingly. It just means that people typed wrong addresses 40 million times all over the world since Oct 2. Dumbasses.
Alright, I'm done for now.
