Why don't we set up a fuckmicrosoft/microsoft eradication society counter strike clan for those of us that were interested. We could some of our microsoft hating passion into some good games of CS. If you would be interested pleeeease relpy, then we can have an idea of the numbers to see if it could work.

Hehe FMS/MSES CS clan=w00t!

Question is, how would you get in? Is it for those who are excellent CS players only? Perhaps you can only join if your an anti-microsoft dude(that means you acknowledge this site as sacred and you agree with most of what it says, even if you still have wind0ze).

A clan server would be a good way of linking to this site. So when you join the server, you would have a link to this site.

I like CS, but IMO it's less about realism and more about a teamwork aspect.(even if you don't see that enough on public servers)

NOOOO, not a windoze game. howabout quake1/2/3 or say wolfenstien. there are both avialabe on mac and linux. that would be the better solution.

Lol! Well it depends on how well it runs(and how easy it is to get to run) under Linux.

Isn't there some above average Linux support? Like Linux versions of some mods and Linux server files etc.

umm, a quake3 mod is crossplatform. as long as it was made on the same version, like a mod for 1.27 insn't compatible with 1.31 and such forth

and for support. quake has always been on the linux platform

counter-strike is, IMHO, full of bigoted homophobic morons. it's like playing a game with a bunch of Mac Hater-like people who keep accusing you of cheating, despite the fact that 98% of them are cheating.

it seems to also be the #1 reason why people are sticking with windows... hmmm... could there be a link?

isnt counterstrike a windows only game??? What the hell would be the point of starting an MS-only game on an MS server, played by people only using the MS OS????????????
Quake is a better idea. I think i might have quake2 or 1 for linux.

Ok this is a good fundamentalist issue. Problem is, is there any good mods(ESPECIALLY mods with much players) for Quake 1? That's the thing about Half-life, the player base size.

I'm sure that we could make some of our own mods
there is quite a bit of MODS for it though....why do we need mods?

There is linux dedicated server and it runs under WineX well apparently. I am going to buy WineX so i will see how it runs. But a clan for some of the other games is a good idea too, quake series, UT etc

If you play it (i do at lan partys) you would notice that the servers have aa penguin next to them if they run linux. And half-life/Linux is quite popular, the same applys for COunter strike

Yes, lets do it.

I have sone webspace on host.sk if we are really in need of free hosting. It is Croatian, not particularly fast but it supports CGI, MySQL and does not have a ridiculous TOS.

Croatian? Where did you get that idea?

I'm a croat, and I can't understand shit it sez.

.hr domains are croatian, btw.

And Counter-Strike sucks... To much cheaters even with Valve's Anti-Cheat software. Either their code sucks or alot of people want the cheats. I don't see alot of cheats in UT. Only 1 or 2 working aimbots lying around, and they don't do too much if you have a chainsaw and the enemy a rocket launcher  ;)  The HL code sucks, it's too exploitable.
Free it, goddamnit!
