Taxing the Internet decreases economic progress.

Why are both Rebublican and Democrat senators for this really stupid idea?
This is an idea that would typically come from the Democrats, but, since the Republican and the Democrat party are now one giant mess with religious groups and corperatism involved in them, there's no telling what these crazy people will do next.

Good God, didn't we try this a few dozen times already?  As I recall, it didn't go over so well.  Let's just hope it stays an option, not a reality... as to the part regarding voice packets being indistinguishable from data packets... no shit, Sherlock?  IT'S IN THE IP SPEC for Christ's sake... that is to say, that packets aren't supposed to be distinguishable in regards to content, as this is a HUGE security violation.  I say to my Congress, get your heads out of your asses and try to figure out WHY this didn't work out ten years ago, and won't work today.

Nope... 3% on all internet services. They can't know what traffic is VOIP and what is data, so they're just going to tax everything.

Strange, I thought the Spanish-American War was all paid for by now.

Didn't you forget that the Cold War is still on?

It's just Reader's Digest, until you eliminate the third, fifth, and sixth letters.  Then it's Red's Digest, comrade.

Found this story while I was there:

http://news.com.com/Ask+Jeeves+mulls+Firefox-based+browser/2100-1032_3-5576335.html?tag=st_lh

That's a pretty stupid idea too. Why doesn't Jeeves just create a search engine option for Firefox that Ebay and Google already have so that people can add it to their browser and then delete it when they realize that Google is the best and that Ask.com couldn't search for its own ass with both hands, a map, and a flashlight?
On your way out of Microsoft Land feel free to smash a few Windows.
