To change the subject....

Kintaro, I remember that time you were high and came here, and posted like 25 identical threads under a half hour. :D

Welcome back

Welcome back, X11.

Why the hell do I have to accept a bogus security certificate to read your forum?

Bogus?

It's just not certified with a CA, the forum is still perfectly secure (I hope), I only allow secure connections to the server except for bittorrent, and soulseek. I have came to know various employees at Internet Service Providers in Australia, specifically Melbourne that sniff traffic for plain fun.

The forum has some various other reasons that many will not understand unless they hang about for some time. These are the "other reasons" that the forum is on a AES 256 SSL connection. I plan on starting a secure mail system as well in future with usermin that will allow it to be used by users with a Unix account for secure communications.

Moveing from there, I will eventually migrate the entire /var and /home filesystems to a AES 256 (or 512) bit Linux Cryptoloop filesystem. This will ensure that even more privacy of data. Privacy is becomeing important with the status of the Australian Government and I do not like where civil liberties could be heading in this country.

I hope that answers your question.

For your site to be trusted by clients, you need to have your certificate signed by a trusted agency that operates as a Certificate Authority. To have the certificate signed by a Certificate Authority, create a certificate-signing request (CSR) and send it to the authority with some documentation. This costs anywhere from $250 to $1,000 per year.

There is a good reason it is not signed, I cannot afford those fee's at the current moment in time.

I used to monitor traffic on a school network just for plain fun :)

I used to record all the phone calls going in and out of my house years back, when I was like 13-14.
