I don't like the design, although since it's powered by a third party engine I don't know how much you can affect that. However, I believe at least the CSS is completely under your control, so playing around with how the site looks should be possible.

Do you actually like the plain white look, or want help with the CSS?

It's nice. Not used Drupal myself. Was it easy to use?

Could do with a little more colour in your theme though.

i should look into CMSs just so i am a bit familiar with them.

i like the organised nature of your site, kintaro, compared with past personal sites of yours (not that there was anything particularly wrong with them, if you get me)

Drupal is great, all I can say is rtfm. But I do have some small problems with the template. However I might go have a look at the code and hack it up a little myself.

the white theme makes it look empty, but the managerey of css 'blocks' makes it look cluttered and difficult to use.

other than that its fine although a light shade of green backround would compliment the grey title block.

what are your main goals for the site? to inform users of what you have been doing to the site, or documenting John Tate.?

see MY site http://www.beq2.beworld.info i want to get at least 450 hits in about 3 days from now. im at 372.

To work as a blog where I can submit what I am doing. To document John Tate, and to publish my various art work I have done. I will also use it when I am finished on my demo album to submit that and promote it.

Yea, thats about it.

I have got of my arse and submitted various written work however it is all poetry and song at the moment.

Articles and storys will come later, I have to clean up my room so I can install the double bed I keep nearly running into in the hall.

Its all PHP and Open Source code, so its all under my control.

I chose the plain white look, however I might change it.
