Guess it's an anniversary promotion. Anyway, it's enough for me to try the damn thing.

I had been using it with ads for a few months.  (I tricked the ad into never changing)  Totally awesome.  Even better with the bar completely gone \o/

I use Opera now, and I find it my top favourite browser.

Is there an easy way to transfer your bookmarks from Firefox?

I'm seriously considering switching.

Yeah, you just do to Manage Bookmarks, click File (not the real menu, the inside one), and Import Netscape/Firefox Bookmarks.  You'll have to navigate to the file itself, but it works.

But now you probably have (1 billion - 10) functions you don't need.  Extensions are all about modularity - if you don't need the feature, don't weight down your browser with it.

So why is Opera only 3.66MB and FireFox is 4.65MB?

Opera has more features and is smaller, could this be because it's more compact? Could it be because Firefox is bloatware?

The only advantage Firefox has it extentions but if you use Opera you don't need them.

I don't know where you're getting these numbers, perhaps the size of the download?  My /usr/lib/firefox-1.0.6 is 50MB.  That includes 8 themes, 8 extensions, and a ton of custom searchbar items.

You must have the version that includes the Java runtime then, Opera is smaller, faster and has more features than Firefox which is bigger, more bloated and has far less features.

Ah well you're too late you could've got the code from the website if you'd done this 2 days ago.

pm me and I'll give you a copy of the Opera program files on my hard disc, it might work but I can't promise you anything.
