my dads work places uses alot of foam.. foam is cheap. they makes huge blocks of foam about 20feet by 6 feet by about 2-3 feet for like $20

and that would be enough for about what? 10000 xboxes?

Samsung or Thompson optical drives.  Both have had problems, although the Thompsons are the absolute worst.

Of course, a multi-billion dollar corporation, who can afford foam, can also afford to purchase their hardware from a respectable vendor.

Lite On is a good company to use. I have a lite on drive somewhere.very nice drive. i have a Ben Q dvd-rom drive and it seems pretty good

Of course, if you are a total moron, you would keep buying Xbox 360s. If you are smart, you would mod it. I guess bill is hoping for hardware illiterate parents of 12 year olds to buy it...
